Easter!

What a wonderful Easter weekend. Brandon got his picture taken with Mr. Bunny...

we decorated cookies and eggs with Nana...

went to a super fun birthday party at Bounce U for one of Brandon's friends...

made treats...

woke up Easter morning to fun surprises... 

"blew up" PEEPS in the microwave (a tradition!)...

found lots of eggs...

and a little slug...

attempted a family picture before church...

and again with the dog...

it was a beautiful weekend. Happy Easter!

It's a GIRL!

We found out today that we are having a baby girl! We are ecstatic! Brandon wanted a sister, John wanted a daughter and I started making flower headbands a few weeks ago...so it worked out really well! ;) We are still a bit in shock. It was SO great to have my mom come up for this exciting event. She is amazing for traveling all the way here just to be apart of this day. 

 After the ultrasound we went out for frozen yogurt to celebrate, then went shopping! Such a great day. September cannot get here fast enough! 

Tennis

Brandon's new favorite thing is tennis. (He has a new favorite just about every week. Ha!) We have a great court right next to Brandon's school. It is nicely enclosed so we bring Penny and let her chase us around while we attempt to play. ;) 

The only problem that we have found is this!

She is such a ball thief!

Spring Break!

We had an awesome spring break down in Southern California. We swam, played with cousins, ate at all the GREAT restaurants that we don't have here (I miss good Mexican food so much!!), went to Pretend City with Brandon's cousins on John's side, took Penny to the beach for the first time and just spent as much time with family as possible!

Parker taught Penny how to swim! She is such a fish!

 I love these kids so much! 

 My sweet little Lily and Brandon. They were playing hid and seek. Nothing is more fun than playing with cousins. That is all Brandon wanted to do the entire week. 

 Penny got to play with her cousins too! Lola was so nice to share her bone. ;)

 Brandon and Donovan. They are such great buds.

We LOVE this dog! Penny has been so much fun since she came into our lives. Today Brandon and Penny enjoyed the beautiful sunshine (that we have not seen in what seems like forever here!) by playing in the hose and eating Popsicles. I was a little hesitant to give Penny human food but she loved it so much that I couldn't resist! 

4 months

So this was me last week at exactly four months pregnant. John thinks it's funny that I wanted to take a picture of myself when I'm not exactly "showing" yet, but I just have to document this pregnancy in all its stages. Since this blog IS my family journal, silly pictures like this one are included. :) I still can't believe I'm pregnant. So amazing and fun.
