8 months!

I am now 33 weeks exactly! I can't believe how much Brighton moves and wiggles. It seems like it is all day long! I have been in serious pain a few times with her kicking and punching! I am now planning on being induced on September 9th, so just 6 weeks to go!
We can't wait for our little cupcake!

Shipley Family Comes To Visit!

It was such a blast having the Shipley family in town! We were able to squeeze in a bunch of fun activities while they were here. First we took them crawdad fishing at a park nearby.

Parker caught some big ones!

We went into the city twice. On the first trip we browsed Ghirardelli Square, got some yummy Boudin sourdough bread, had cartoon drawings of the kiddos done and just walked around enjoying all the craziness that is San Fran.

Love this of cute cousins reading together. These two have such a great relationship.

Of course we had to do Jelly Belly Factory...

and Fentons Creamery.

On our second visit to the city we had a picnic by the Golden Gate Bridge.

Then we drove around and explored a bit.

My two kiddos! :)

Lastly, we hit the beach. It was COLD and dark, but still SO fun. It is always fun with the Shipleys!
Thanks for the great time!

Bran's trip to the fair!

We have the most wonderful friends that live right across the street from us. Talk about blessed! Brandon is good buddies with both of their boys. The other day they invited him to go with their family to the fair. He had such a blast! It was weird with him gone for NINE hours straight! Good thing I completely trust them with my little guy. He couldn't stop telling John and I about his fun adventures. I was excited to see the pictures they had taken of the day. He LOVED feeding the animals!

This "hamster ball" was all he could talk about! He thought it was just the coolest thing ever.

a little service

It was time to take in the recycling. It had been building up for quite some time now. Brandon and I loaded it in the trunk of the car, grabbed Penny and were off to get the job done. While I was sorting bottles and cans and Brandon was letting Penny explore, I saw an older woman pull up to do her recycling as well. As she got out of her car Brandon said, "Mom will you hold Penny's leash? I want to go help that lady." I was a little surprised. His helpfulness comes and goes in waves much of the time, so his wanting to help a total stranger out of the clear blue shocked me a bit. Of course I said "Sure." The lady was very grateful as he proceed to ask if he could help her get the big bags out of her car. As we all worked, we chatted. We talked about dogs and babies, family and fishing boats. We made a new friend and it was all because my little guy wanted to give a little service. Now like I said before, his desire to help is not always there, but I am thankful for the times that it is.

Celebration Time!

We had such an amazing time in So Cal celebrating the 4th and John's 30th birthday. Being with our families is something that we just can't get enough of! Our five packed days consisted of late late nights hanging out with sisters and cousins (Brandon stayed up till 1:30am for the first time in his life!), lots of yummy food, early morning walks on the beach, long days playing in the sand, catching GIANT sand crabs, movies, too many treats, sister time (much needed!), laughing way to hard and crying ridiculously when we had to leave.

My two guys playing in the sand together.

Cousin time was SO wonderful for Brandon. Here we are on our way to Cafe Rio!

Judy took us to a baseball game. It was awesome to see John's family and spend time with them.

The kids got Dippin Dots...Brandon was in heaven!

We were able to see some of our dear friends while we were down. London, Brandon and Lily had fun hanging out with Brie.

We can NEVER get enough of Aunt Julie! She is always so much fun to be with. The kids love wrestling with her. :)

Penny got to explore the beach. She had a BLAST! We could barely hang on to her leash!

Lily really wanted to walk our crazy dog all by herself. So I let her, and this was the result! Ha!

Slow down Penny!

Gottcha!

That was a close one!

This picture makes me laugh every time I look at it. I love the way Greg is popping his head up and John is looking so lovingly down at him. ;) I have the best family!

Brandon and Penny had a great time at the Balboa Peninsula 4th of July parade.

Birthday boy!

My sisters and I. These girls are the absolute best.

The festive treats for John's birthday!

These pictures were captured just before Brandon burned his toe on a fallen piece of sparkler...major drama and a bummer ending to the night.

With all the late nights we headed home needing a vacation from our vacation! Ha! Here is my man driving the 9+ hours home. Can't wait to go back!
