First Day of Fourth Grade!

Brandon had a great first day of school. I cannot believe that my little boy is not so little anymore. For some reason, 4th grade is a biggie. He seems so grown up. 

He loves this new sweatshirt!

Bran was SO lucky to have Nana and Papa John there for his first day! :) 

Boxes are so much fun!

Brighty received an early birthday present in the mail from Judy and Dennis. Her super fun toy came in these big boxes. Why are boxes SO much fun?! I love it.

The cute pink princess push toy is what was in those magical boxes. She LOVES it!!

Anniversary trip to Tahoe!

John took us to Tahoe for an early anniversary celebration! It was a blast. It was our third year in a row we have gone...weird that we have lived in Northern Cali for so long!!!

Playing in the pool at our hotel was our favorite thing to do! Brandon LOVED the big spa and the waterfalls. Fun and different that it was indoors.

Brighty loves the water!

The super giant tub in our room was awesome. Brandon, Brighton and I all got in our suits and splashed around like it was a pool. Here is Bran getting crazy with the bubbles!

We couldn't go on our usual hike near Emerald Bay (way too many people therefore no parking) so we decided to head to the beach instead. It was super beautiful. 

Brighty slept on a lounge chair while we played in the pool.

While walking around the shops we came across the Lego Summer Brickcation. Brandon built a car to race down the track and Brighty played with some big Legos.

It was a wonderful and relaxing vacation! Maybe we will do it again next year, but our hope is to be way down in So Cal instead! 

Shipley family comes to visit!

We were so lucky to have the Shipleys stay with us for a few days...unfortunately we left town for a 

pre-planned Tahoe trip the second day they got to our house. :( We made the most of that one day though! Sky High Jump, yummy Panchos Mexican for lunch, a mall trip and visit to the Disney store for some MAJOR discounts (thanks Eric for working at Disney!), San Fran Creamery for unbelievable treats and Papa Murphy's for dinner. Lots of memories, just not lots of photos.

11 Months!

Brighty is 11 months old now and has us on our toes! She is everywhere and into everything! She is such a sweetheart and loves to give "kisses." She holds her babies and gives them love. It is the cutest thing. The other day she held a phone to her ear and started talking into it. John and I about died! It was SO adorable! She wears size 12 month clothes now and size 3 shoe. I cannot wait to find out how much she weighs at her 1 year well baby check. I know it's getting close to 19lbs. Our tiny peanut is growing, yahoo!

Brighty's favorite food is watermelon! She loves it and loves to try and eat the rind too! Ha! Her obsession with ice has John and I baffled. Every time I open the freezer (while I'm holding her) she quickly grabs an ice cube from the ice box in the door. She grabs at all my drinks too. I give her cupfuls of ice and sit her on the kitchen floor. It keeps her entertained for at least 10 minutes!  

I don't know why but it's super hard to get a great picture of this little monkey! Maybe it's because she is 11 months old! Ha! 

Oh Brighty, the adventures with you never cease! We LOVE YOU!!!!

More Summer Fun!

We took BART to the airport (always an adventure) to head down to So Cal for more Summer fun. 

 Brandon got to hang out with his favorite people on the planet, his cousins! 

These girls sure do love each other. Aunt Angie is the magic Brighty charmer. She can put her to sleep anywhere. Even in El Pollo Loco!

We had s'mores by the pool one evening. Thanks Wendy!!

Brighty learned to walk on this trip...and poor daddy missed it. :( Luckily we got it on video and sent it to him asap.

We walked with Grandpa and Mary and cousins to get lunch. Very hot but very fun!

Brighty loves "Uncle Peek Boo." ;) Parker is super cute with her. 

The kids got to "swim" at Grandpa's house. He has such great inventions!  

I was SO happy I got to be there for Lily's first day of first grade! I was there at her first day of kinder last year! LOVE that little sweetie.
